Amnesty International UK – goDonate Plus
Amnesty International UK is part of a global, people-powered movement working to protect human rights for everyone, everywhere. Independent of governments and political interests, the organisation exposes abuses, demands justice, and campaigns to ensure those in power uphold international law and protect individual freedoms.
Their work combines detailed research with public campaigning; challenging injustices, influencing policy, and supporting individuals and communities at risk. From defending freedom of expression to tackling discrimination and protecting the rights of refugees, Amnesty focuses on both UK and international issues, using evidence and collective action to drive change.
Supporters play a central role, taking action through petitions, fundraising, activism, and public engagement. This community-led approach reflects Amnesty’s core belief that, when people come together in solidarity, they can hold power to account and create lasting progress for human rights. Women’s Aid – goDonate Essential
Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children across England. As a federation of specialist organisations, it supports a wide network of local services providing life-saving support, refuge accommodation and advocacy for survivors.
The charity offers a range of services designed to help survivors stay safe and rebuild their lives, including direct support, information resources, and access to local services through its national directory. It also provides training, research and guidance to professionals, ensuring that responses to domestic abuse are informed and effective.
Alongside frontline support, Women’s Aid campaigns to change public attitudes and influence government policy, addressing both the causes and consequences of domestic abuse. Central to its work is an empowerment-led approach that values the voices and experiences of survivors, with the ultimate goal of creating a society where women and children can live free from violence and abuse.
